Florida Garfish

Florida Gar, a highly sought after fish species in the UK and not something that comes around very often. These fish have the potential to grow over 3ft in length. 
They require a large environment and should not be kept in a small aquarium. 
Current Size – 10-15cm
Adult Length – 90cm 
Temperature Range – 22 - 25°C
pH Range – 5.0 - 7.5
Special Requirements - A good sized well panted tank with a lid is essential as they can be jumpers.  
Tanks Mates and Compatibility – They will eat anything that fits into their mouths.
Feeding – Carnivores, they will eat virtually anything that they can get in their mouths. They love shrimps but will take any quality pellet. At present these guys are fed on Prawn, Bits of frozen fish and floating sticks.
